Its the 4HP22 EH indeed. I've got the Euro / Jap version. If I'm not mistaken, its the first of the BMWs with this sport, economy and manual settings. Sports allows for higher RPM between shifts. E for normal driving. M for playing with the gearbox. Mine works perfectly. Its no tragedy. In fact, its sweet. Yeah, its not as fast as the manual, but I'll take it anyday over an M/T as the traffic is so bad here these days (ave 12 mph) you'll get cramps if you had an M/T. -

My sources tell me that euro auto iS had the 4hp22eh AT, like what US got in the e34.

I've owned stick and auto. if you've driven an auto with fresh tranny; you wouldn't call it tragic. It's actually quite impressive with that shift dial. they were only available I believe in Europe. If you know how to use an auto you may surprise those with stick. ;-)Leave a comment:

Maybe make it into a selector switch for anti-lag or some sort of launch control? I dunno. Ride height presets for those on fancy bagged suspension? Boost controller presets? Seat dildo hammer speed settings?Leave a comment:
