Im surprised no one has posted pics of carpetted e82/88 1 series mats. I bought rubber ones and they fit absolutely perfectly.
I ordered a set of silver and black vert oem mats from Tischer earlier this month after seeing the NLA threads. I was told the silver is NLA, and the black went NLA right after mine shipped out.

This might be BMWs way of closing out all the less-desirable velour mats before bringing back the berber version. Hopefully.

I can tell by the photos these are of the same quality as the E46/E90/E85 mats. Quite a step down from the OEM E30 mat quality, but fine for those who don't appreciate the difference. I also think the anchoring system is distracting and over-engineered.

BTW, the mats never match the carpet. ;)

Another floor mat fs ad that is going to be full of lulz. In an effort to get some info to people before they dump $250 for floor mats...

custom mats from bimmian- http://www.bimmian.com/Custom-Order-...W-E30-3-Series (ive heard of them replacing floor mat sets for free if they wear prematurely. same material as oem e30 mats, just no heel pad)

The anchoring system uses velcro circles. You screw them into the carpet much like the e30 anchors and theres the other side of the velcro on the bottom of the floor mats that attach to them. Heres a picture to show what im trying to describe

Unfrotunately, I only have the rubber 1 series mats, which differ slightly from the carpet 1 series mats, although I imagine they are close enough. Heres the passanger side installed:

Hope this gives you an idea. The rubber 1 series mats actually fit better then the e30 mats... unfortunately I dont have the carpet versions to compare.

I didn't get rear mats. Here's a thread with pics of the rear and a drawn out comparison of sizes. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=292216

ECS must've hit a stash somewhere because I just got these today.

Those are rubber, I think this thread is discussing the carpet type.

Understandable, but people have posted their 1 series rubber mats, and I thought these would be an interesting mix to the conversation. Haha
