Slide the element in where you've got it pulled up. Don't take out the stitches that hold the thin foam to the leather or your seats won't go back together right

in this situation IF the seat heater elements are new and not faulty then I was say you are safe to install between the foam and leather. However, a bad or shorting element could burn a hole through the leather. I had a leather interior kit made and opened up the foam and installed my seat heater elements between the foam and leather. works great!

Where did you get the heated element? Is it new or used? :)
