    Steering Wheel Recovering

Well, after several hours of work today, I finished recovering my steering wheel in suede. Here are the pics:

Note: This is for my MG, not an E30.

I still need to refinish the aluminum and repaint the hub, but this is a start. The pics do the wheel no justice. Next pics will be of the wheel mounted in the car, so they should be a lot better.

Nicely done :) Small British sports cars are awesome, although my experience with them is limited to a 75 TR6 that belonged to a friend. Looking foreward to seeing more pics of this car...

My fast says: traction control is for the faint of heart

Nope, first time with recovering something. I have worked with leather before though, pretty much my whole life. My parents own a Shoe Repair and Alterations shop and work with leather a lot. Growing up down there was very educational. :)

I might be able to do an e30 wheel. Never really looked close enough at one. Let me get back to you on that.

What wheel is that? I need to know so I can search for some close up shots. Do you have any other shots of it? Could you take a few? I mainly need to see the part around where the spokes and the outside rim meet.

I can take some tonight for you. I'll shoot you a PM. What was the cost of materials for you to do yours?
