    SFGadgetguy cup holders how to.

Hi there, I really like the design of the cup holders that replace the ash tray area of the center console. I am hoping to make some this summer and am curious if someone who owns a set could take some pictures of the bottom of them. Also if anyone has ideas on how he constructed them it would be useful.

Thanks! If I succeed I would consider making some to sell as well.

They are wood with vinyl on top.

Let me get this straight, you want to copy a simple product made and sold by a member here so you can sell them?

What happened to creativity? What happened to taking pride in your own creation, not copying someone elses ?

    Grow up man.

I tried contacting him for a few weeks and failed, then tried buying some used and failed again. Now I am trying to make some of my own and sell them to others who want them.

        Thank you jrobie.

Anyone have some detailed pictures for me? That would be great.

I mean it can't be that difficult. Measure your angles, cut it from cardboard, transfer to wood and presto-changeo, cupholders.

Honestly you'll catch less flak and get a lot more out of it (in my opinion) if you just do it yourself. Plus, other than getting an idea for the design, you're going to have to take your own measurements anyway.

I used the top piece off the e36 console and fit it on the e30 console. I woulda tried to install the whole e36 console but its wider and I'm running e46 driver and e36 passenger seats in a convertible which apparently has a narrower inside. But Yea I found some nice lookin wood and tried to match it to my steering wheel and shifter with the accented wood.

I have run the e36 center console for awhile, but it looks out of place. I am going to put a husco armrest in and fit some cupholers replacing the ashtray.

I don't know how anyone would judge me for recreating something that is no longer being produced.
