eBay Knockoff Momo/Nardi/OMP Steering Wheels **WARNING**

We've all been there. It's 1am... You lay awake, unable to sleep because your mind wanders thinking about the next mod for your e30. Next thing you know, you find yourself hovering over the 'buy it now' button on some shady-I-know-this-is-too-good-to-be-true eBay listing for a "Momo-style race steering wheel".

Before you pull the trigger, you do a quick google search to make sure that you're not going to regret this decision in the morning. Then up pops this video...

Long story short... These knockoffs are a fraction the price of the real deal because they're built like an empty soda can. Don't jeopardize the safety of yourself or others with a cheap knockoff. Stick with OEM or an authentic Momo/Nardi/OMP/etc.

    Example of said knockoff: http://m.ebay.com/itm/151186790871?cmd=VIDESC&gxo=true

Same deal with replica seats, particularly reclinables. Stay far away if you value your safety!

Shocking that the shitty knockoff wouldn't be as good as the real deal!

Here's your problem, the wheel is made of Alumminium. Everyone knows it's not nearly as strong as Aluminum:

Also, I fear for anyone who would buy a wheel like this for racing.

I think the chinese are missing the boat on this one, the product should be marketed as an impact absorbing safety steering wheel.

you'd be shocked at how many people just want a wheel for the sake of having something non oem

                  I smell a business opportunity!

To be fair, I'd rather have my cheap wheel bend, then splinter apart into my hands and face like the cheap wood wheels.

Authentic used wheels come up for not much money all the time. Why take the risk?
