[QUOTE=DanGillan]one more to show how a roll bar looks in a 4-door as not many people run one.

Finally, a 4-door with a roll bar ! Can you post some details on the rollbar, any install issues ? Also, if you could, can you post a picture direct from the side. I am interested in seeing how the bar is positioned w.r.t the rear door.

    Thanks,
    Bala

you can see it pretty clearly from that picture, its all i have at the moment (keep an eye out in members rides for pics this weekend) and there'll be some more angles when i finally snap some pics. the hoop is basically just where the 2-door e30's b-pillar would be. it fits alright, slight issues, but it fits.

I think I have a deal on a TC Kline bolt in to go in my 4 door. After install, I'll get some snappy snaps up.

I'm currently building my roll bar - I have everything welded except for the rear bars to the wheel wells. Could someone please post some pictures of the rear attachment points.

I have my own ideas, but would like to see what other manufacturers have gone about it. Thanks.

how effective are the bolt ins as opposed to the weld in cages? Is there any safety ratings or anything?

I would say a weld-in would be better. A bolt-in would break away form its mounts in a hard roll, but it will ultimately do its job- Save your melon! Not downing a bolt-in at all, I am sure they all work that are sold as "Safety Equippment".

What do you mean break away? With the proper surface area, decent welds, and strong bolts, they're perfectly fine.

The biggest problem of the bolt-in is that it doesn't add nearly as much rigidity as the weld-in, other than that even FIA has approved bolt-in cages so they have to be safe.
