    Shift knobs

So I was looking in to replacing my shift knob since the one I have now is pretty jacked up. I was thinking of installing a big 9k one or a beer tap handle but BMW's don't have a threaded shifter arm/lever so I can't do that until I have a threaded one. Does anybody know of a threaded adapter I can buy? Also can you guys post up pics of the shift knobs you're using? It would really help.

You have 105 posts and you were never made aware of the search function? Also, troll?

If you are serious about a beer tap shifter you could also drill in the center of the shifter and thread the hole then use all thread and rubber shock bushing to mount the Tap handle. The bushing is to isolate noise.

I planned on doing this then decided the bmw shifter is a lil too long of a throw to be adding a long beer tap.

                    Agreed.

I think the beer tap knob looks cool in the right car. Rat rods, ratty old school vdubs (buses and bugs), stuff like that. Personally I don't think it jives with the e30. But hey, to each their own. It's your car, not these guys'. Good question overall however, I'm sure just knowing where to get a threaded adapter is useful for those looking to run different knobs.

Personally I use a wood 2002 knob in mine, I've got an early model with that old school feel, and I love it. Flows with the Nardi really well.
