    Low fuel light

Not really sure where to post this, I was just curious about what the low fuel light actually looked like. I seriously can't find it anywhere because any picture is usually related to fixing it in some way such as the sensor or the bulb. Im just looking for it would look like on the dash.

Thanks to anyone who may be able to help!

the sender in the tank, the ball inside might be stuck at the bottom of the sender. don't quote me on this, but from what remember when i pulled my sender out. maybe someone can chime in.
btw your lucky that your light works, mine doesn't turn on.

On the late model E30s there's not a ball on the sender. There is a contact at the bottom of the sender in the right hand side of the tank that operates the light when the float gets down near the bottom of the tank.

You can check yours by pulling out the sender. The right side contact (when looking into the pins on the sender, its connected to the brown/grey wire) should be grounded when the float is at the bottom. Hope this makes sense.
