    Center console texture/vinyl

    Hello,

Im looking to making a few cuts on my center console (The one where the handbrake is), but the only thing that stops me is that i wont be able to achieve the same texture when im finished modding it.
Is there some kind of vinyl or something that can help me achieve the same surface finish when im finished with it?

    Thank you,
    Max.

It's all in the vinyl wrap you use. Try to get it that is rated for automotive or marine use other wise it will just fade and or just shrink and look like crap on a hot sunny day.

Any online stores i can find it at? Or just some keywords to make it easier to find? Since my "texture vinyl wrap" is bringing a lot of results but i don't know which one is the closest to E30..

I used marine vinyl fabric from Joann's and that's pretty much spot on. The catch is its fabric and not the actual sticky wrap.

Word. I'd be impress if Joann's fabrics actually sold something that is truly UV stable for automotive stuff.

There are plenty of guys here that have sold shift boots, and e-handle boots. Even hood seals. And then after a few years, they fall apart. So if you want it to last - get something from a automotive interior shop.

Weather it's fabric, or a electronic gizmo, the inside of a car is a nightmare. So to make things last a long time. You have to use top-of-the-line stuff.

Well I was skeptical too so far it's pretty legit. The only issue I'm having are the glue not holding it down. If you have time just go to the store and check it out in person.

Use the 3m 90, it's much stronger than the 77, it comes in a green can. It will last a long time, if you use it right, or get some dap wellwood, very good stuff. I use it on my steering wheels and door cards.

I stand corrected! I'll have to look for it. (supper 77 is avaiable at walmart, and most places) - I've never even heard of 3m 90........but I *love* 3m products. I've yet to find a 3m product that doesn't do exactly what it says it can do.
