E28 power sport seats in an e30??

will e28 power sport seats bolt in an e30, if I just swap the brackets out? has anyone done such swap? thanks in advance!!

After much research..didn't really get anything..but I found out the leather from e28 sport seats is the same as e30s..I picked up a clean set of e28 sport seats..I will swap the leather in the e30 seats

Thanks I read this one already and a few other threads...but I was looking for someone who actually did the swap successfully ;-) haven't found that thread yet....if I get it to work with modifying the brackets I will post a how to.

The side to side spacing of the bolt holes on the bottom of the seats is wider on the e28 seats. You'll need to make adapter plates to use e28 seats on e30 sliders/rails or vice versa.

e28 sports are quite a bit rarer than e30 ones, I bet if you posted on mye28.com looking to trade you could find someone with e30 seats in there e28 that would trade you.

I picked up the e28 seats..these seats are mint..I'm having doubts about wanting to strip these seats...
