Preventing dash cracks

Keep your car out of the sun, Park in the shade areas, Get a cover dash fabric I seen some others having for there cars. My car is garage kept but when I go out I make sure I put something over the dash because mine doesn't have any cracks yet and I would like to keep that way.

so does the 'updated' dash not crack? i'm curious. The dashes I've seen that have cracks in them are relatively hard plastic, but my car's is almost soft if you press on it with a finger. obviously it doesnt mean anything, but to me that flexibility could keep it from cracking
