    Ski Pass Cutout

Hey guys I don't have a ski pass (1987) and I was wondering if it was ok to cut it out where the framing is for the ski pass in newer cars? I would cut it out along the framing that is present now then reinforce it with 1", 1/8" flat bar stitched in place. I would use a 4 1/2" grinder and cut off wheel for the bulk of the work. I personally see no problem here but if anyone knows it may hurt the body frame etc... please let me know. And is it easy for a upholstery shop to put the pass in my rear seat?

Just kick the cutout with your foot. It's fun.

I'm new to the E30 but I'm not new to the world (37 years old ) lol! If it just popped out I would be down with that but it looks a little more reinforced than that. But maybe I can get the guys at Kadunza to lock me in the trunk then I would have to kick my way out?

Mine doesn't even have the cutout in order to kick it out. No bass for me :-(

                  Look...trust me on this.

If you have a car made after 1985, you have a ski pass hole in your chassis.

Well I have an older 10" RF Punch Power DVC 1 ohm sub in the garage that hasn't been in anything in years so I'm going to fab up a box and face it through the ski pass to add some punch. I'm gonna have to reeducate myself on the newer amps though. I used to run a Precision Power class d 1/4 ohm stable amp on it but I sold it years ago.

I dont have a sub setup yet, but I have 2 amps from alpine totalling in 900watts worth of fun, and some upgraded speakers too.
