Faded/stained steering wheel centers (not leather rim)

Just got my mtech wheel in the mail and it has the same problem as a couple of my other mtech wheels.

In pictures, it's not that bad but in person its very noticeable. The center material is faded but has a few shiny streaks or stains.

I haven't tried any chemicals, just scrubbing with a web microfiber but that doesn't work.

Like I said a couple of my wheels have this issue. Anyone else's wheels have this problem?

How do you get the center looking shiny and new??

In the photos, it seems it is a vinyl leather look-alike material?

CLEAN: Always as gentle as can be. I use Poorboy's World All Purpose Cleaner diluted appropriately. Brush helps scour the surface clean. Simple Green can work, too.

DRESS: Poorboy's World Natural Look, Aerospace 303 or an equivalent quality product for the material with UV inhibitors. PBW makes a leather conditioner which is primo.

I'd recommend treating the entire wheel with this process. If the center is indeed leather, I would take the chance to recondition it as a whole. After cleaning, use a shoe dye (such as Kiwi) to recolor the faded leather. That will give you the uniform black appearance. Dress then once the dye has set in and been buffed out.
