    Leather wears and shows its age. That is a nice thing as compared to an interiors' cloth counterparts. Don't fret over the cracking.

    Get in there with a good cleaner and get the years of crud removed as gently as you can. I use Poorboys World All purpose cleaner diluted down nicely. That and a Terry cloth would do wonders.

    Once clean you could try just to add some color with shoe (Kiwi) products. They even have a leather restoration cream if you wanted to get all the needed items at Target.

    Finally, feed the leather. So many different makers of leather cream. Spend the money on this one if you can. I use PBW Leather Stuff.

    Don't worry about sanding, filling, etc. That stuff simply will fail
    Especially under routine driving conditions. Leather has lasted his long, just freshen it up a bit. It is supposed to show some age.
