    One-piece shift boot/knob - repairable?

    Hey guys.

I recently found a one-piece shift knob and boot with wiring for the lighted emblem in a junked E30. I got it for free from the yard, so I didn't really care if it was functional or not.

Of course, the plastic casing inside the knob that allows it to fit snug on the shifter assembly is broken; appears the wiring is a bit hacked up as well.

These retail for a pretty penny on Turner's site, so I don't mind spending a few bucks on refurbishment; the question is, is that possible? Any recommendations? Thanks.

Can be re-wrapped. Ask the recent steering wheel wrapper thread OP or your local shop.

The wiring can't be tough. Two wires. Not sure where the bulb is on these...

The emblem may be tough. NLA? Look on RealOEM to decide that... or eBay.

The internal piece that locks into the shaft should swap from others. So repair that one you got.. or find one from another knob.
