I bought one these a fews years back and love it, you need to modify heavily and reinforce the center console but it's great size and feels like it came with the car. Forgot what I paid but I know I didn't pay that much shipping.

I do like this. I'm afraid that I'd inadvertently use it to reposition my ass in the seat and just crunch it with my elbow. But it doesn't look all that out of place and my arm really wants something to lay on…

I bought the same and also saw it would take some significant mod of center console and put it off.

I agree it needs an inner support structure that goes inside the center console. I don't see the center console supporting it otherwise. Structure could be made from wood or metal. If I get time this winter I will probably do it. Its worth what they are asking for it.

Even with all that I would never put my full or partial weight on it. Its an armrest only kinda armrest.

I don't think I have pictures of it apart if I find some I will post them, but I used wood painted black underneath the armrest, you can almost see it in the pictures. You really just need to support everything under the console and bolt it solidly down to the car and the bolt the wood block solidly to that, if you don't the armrest will wobble. It's a great thing to have on the highway, you'll wonder how you did without it.

yup, I drove a vert over Thanksgiving and it had the Husco sliding armrest - very comfortable. This thing looks pretty nice. also can go get a junkyard console piece to practice install or swap between having it and not having it
