I have a '89 325 with a manual sunroof crank. When I got the car the crank was missing so I ordered a new one from ECS.....

The issue is it won't fit! Everything lines up but when I push it on it won't slide up all the way...there is a 5mm gap and it clearly isn't seated correctly. This is supposedly the correct crank.
What am I missing??
