The carpet on the drivers side has been getting wet (I don't know when this problem started). For the last several months, I noticed heavy condensation building up regularly on my windows. It's not coolant. I removed the carpet today. And, with lots of rain in the forecast, I should be able to find and then fix the leak. We'll see how this goes ...

Where on the driver's side? Front, under the windshield? Farther back, near the seat?
Front guess would be a bad windshield seal, rear guess would be a bad door seal. The one on the top of the door, not the one that wraps around the whole opening. Unless that one is trashed/torn, obviously.
Also, do you know if your sunroof drains are clear?Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

It was wet at the lowest points all along the drivers side floor, under the seat, in front and in back of the seat. All the seals around the door appear to be in very good shape. The vapor barrier on the door is good too. The windshield seal is new and does not appear to be leaking, but I need to test all possible sources including the sunroof drain. I did notice that there appears to be no seal/grommet around where the clutch master cylinder penetrates the firewall. Not sure if that is the problem. It's a puzzler ...Where on the driver's side? Another theory is that the water has been there since the car had it's underside and engine bay steam cleaned as part of an engine swap several months ago. The water could have gotten in during this steam cleaning. If I detect no further leaks, I guess that could be the source of the leak.Comment

I've been battling this issue since we got a big rain storm a couple months ago. What I did was spray water all around the car with the hose so I could pin point exactly where it was coming in. Mine was leaking up behind the dash and water was flowing in around where the dead pedal is. Turns out there was a small crack in the sheet metal up behind some brown insulation and a plastic bracket. I have no idea where it's leaking in on the other side of the crack but I shoved some marine grade JB weld putty up there and hope I fixed it. I think water is getting into the cowl vents and leaking into the car that way but the cowl is difficult to get access to so I'm pretty limited to what types of sealant I can use.
I suggest spraying water around the car and trying to pinpoint where it's coming in. Maybe sit inside and have someone else hose it down so you can watch it. It will be pretty obvious!
I've attached a pic where the crack is on my car that's now covered in JB weld. I'll report back when I dump some water down the driver side cowl vent. Crossing my fingers I fixed it! My carpet gets moldy when it gets wet and it really messes with my sinusesComment
