    Jaffster/BW Shift Knob Dimensions

Not sure if anyone else needed relative dimensions when building a shifter, etc so I figured I'd post them up. I have solid models if you need them.

Thanks, I want to replace my shifter and this should help. This looks very long, why do you like that?

No problem! It's longer than most knobs so that your hand doesn't travel as far while shifting, and spends more time on the steering wheel. Some accomplish that with tall shift levers like below, and some people use knobs of this size with the stock lever. All depends on preference. Here's a picture of this knob in the car:

You can buy the knob at the link below, and I'd recommend getting a shift lever with a shorter throw while you're at it (search around, there are many cost effective options).

No, I didn't have any made. I modeled this for a friend who did, and posted the dimensions for everyone's reference.
