No problem! It's longer than most knobs so that your hand doesn't travel as far while shifting, and spends more time on the steering wheel. Some accomplish that with tall shift levers like below, and some people use knobs of this size with the stock lever. All depends on preference. Here's a picture of this knob in the car:
You can buy the knob at the link below, and I'd recommend getting a shift lever with a shorter throw while you're at it (search around, there are many cost effective options).
