How much does the knob weigh? The knob in my 318is feels like light plastic. Its not even leather like in they were in my 325is and ix. I need something heavier before I throw in a z31.9.

I think this is the weighted one, I've seen them with an aluminum finish also, as well as in black.

This is the one I was going to get (in the aluminum finish), but I liked the feel of the leather Momo I got better.

I have that one in black leather. It's only 1/2" shorter, but looks much better, IMO. However, when you mount it on the stock shifter, there will be a small gap between the bottom of the knob and the top of the shift boot, maybe 2-3 mm. Mine also came with a hideous aluminum shift pattern insert, so I took it out and replaced it with the stock black plastic one.

I thought about getting one like that, but I'm just not a fan of that style. Besides, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Mine blends in perfectly with the leather boots, and the rest of the consoles. But if you like it, cool.

I do like the leather. Just wanted to try out the polished aluminium look for a while. My shifts have been quicker since I got this last week. I think that there is less drag due to the polishing. hehehe:D
