Steering Wheel : Slip Ring

The black plastic piece on the backside of the steering with with a nub .. I believe the nub resets the turn signal.

one size fits all? Needed?

My ACS wheel does not have such a piece. ....

Yes it does reset the turn signals and most BMW wheels have it however you can do without it if you reset the turn signals by hand.
