    Cardinal Interior pics

Does anyone have a pic of a factory Cardinal red interior car ?

my focus is the rear speaker deck or parcel shelf.

wondering 2 things : one was this shelf red as well ?

and second, where the premium speakers for cardinal interior's red ?

    any pics would be great.

    thank you in advance.

I don't have pics, but I had the darker cardinal interior in an 86es... not sure if it was a different color entirely, or whether the material aged differently or varied year to year.

Any way, the rear deck was still a light grey material, as was the carpet in the car. I have never seen the premium speakers in red, but they may be out there. I have only ever seen black, tan, grey, and blue.

Can't remember the year off hand, but they did have a Cardinal rear shelf and speaker holders. It came in the year before they changed to Crimson red.

There are some on ebay right now with the matching rear shelf! Not a bad deal either.

          That's Crimson, not cardinal.

Good Point! The covers and parcel shelf on eBay are advertised as Cardinal but could they actually be Crimson? Either way, Crimson speakers might not look bad in a cardinal interior.

I was talking about the ones in the link, never looked for the eBay ones. And Crimson would probably be to dark to work with Cardinal.

thanks for info guys, im still a little confused about my color. Looks to dark to be cardinal, but to light to be crimson. I have an 87 IS.

thanks for Ebay tip, its a little too faded and the grill covers are missing.

Only cardinal was offered in 87 so that's most likely what you have.
