my take on a cup holder v.1

well ive been wanting to have a cup holder for some time now. im sick of sticking drinks in dangerous places even if its not very often. anyhow heres what i came up with. i bought a crappy console to hack up and test my idea and it turned out well so i went ahead with it.

basically i chose a spot on the console that causes no interference problems (shifting, parking brake pulling, passenger, etc) and just cut out a hole in the console. then i found a plasict medicine bottle which was appropriately sized and cut it to fit/painted it as well.

it works good, and can hold a gatorade, large fast food soda, cans, water bottles. basically anything but a giant big gulp. its nice and deep so nothing falls over, even during enthusiastic driving.

really all i have left for v.2 is to find a paint that closer matches the faded black of the console, then ill be content.

Combine that with Danny G's porting tube so the top of the cupholder has a nice curved factory look and thats a money cupholder.

What's the inside diameter of the cup holder?
