Anyone cut out the metal behind the top back seat piece so there's a big opening to the trunk? I have a gutted car and it would help loading drift spares back there

Might get more chassis flex if you do. You could reinforce with steel tube though. Generally cutting big holes in panels is a bad idea structurally.
