    Headliner Decision

    Hey Guys,

Im currently in the process of my budget s52 build / rescue and needed some opinions and ideas.

So my issue is my current headliner is nasty. Basically its having a 15 year mold orgy that id rather not become apart of. So heres my issue:

    - Do i try and clean? Get a steamer or do some typical DIY mold removal stuff and call it a day?

    - Or do i replace it? (black / something custom might be cool)

Love to hear yalls opinions on this. Thanks yall and keep on drivin those dirty 30s.

If the glass is in the car clean it with a steam cleaner and mold treatment for your health's sake.

If you already have the glass out then replace it, or replace it when you have time to pull the glass out.

I think im going to steam it first. I ripped part of the headlinner while putting in some new weather stripping so itll end up being replaced. However, im going to wait for the respray before i do that since ill have to break the car down for it anyway.

How hard is it to replace the headliner with all the glass out? Found some good looking black vinyl for cheap and figured id ask.

Exponentially easier than with the glass in. That said, you'd probably be better off buying a headliner from someone who knows what they're doing and already has it cut and stitched properly.

Thanks for the info, im really looking to go beyond the OEM cloth route. I like the idea of a dark vinyl material or something else that is a bit more durable.
