What kind of paint can i use? will it hold up?

Grab your yellow pages. Head to "Automotive Upholstery Supplies". Call some, ask if they carry SEM brand of Vinyl paint.
Hundreds of colors, clears (in flat, matte, satin and gloss) adhesion promoters, whatever. This is also the most widely used paint for "Shadowlining" your car.

The vinyl dye for kickpanels, nothing on armrests. Just buy black ones, dyed will look ghetto no matter how well you do it.Current:

i used trim paint on teh kicks, and vinyl die on teh armrests. came out beautiful. looks brand new.Comment

No, you just take your time and do a good job and it'll look real nice.
I did these on my car with some Black Vinyl/Fabric Paint from the store. Prepped the armrests with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and some rubbing alcohol and then applied about 5 very light coats. Letting each dry in between.sigpicComment
