sport seat wont recline

I'm sure this has been covered at some point. I have both adjusters working independently on the drivers sport seat. However when I try to recline the seat it won't budge.
the handle on the drivers side moves freely releasing the mechanism to go back. But what releases the passenger side to move in unison?

any help would be appreciated.

nevermind...found the problem..the seat was damaged in a accident. the inner tube of the seat rail that connects the two seat mech is broken inside not allowing both seat adjusters to work in unison.
