    318is carpet different?

I just learned today that the 318is had different carpet from every other e30. What is the difference exactly? the 318is carpet is lighter I guess but by how much and where is the weight saved? If I have the carpet out of a car is it worth the upgrade?

Lighter, for sure, but it's a Berber style carpet, versus the smooth carpets, found in every other e30. Just depends what style you are going for.

      Austin nailed it.

I'm not sure if it's too much lighter than any other e30 carpet, except that the padding isn't attached to it.

It's way easier to clean and it doesn't wear out nearly as bad.

Interesting. Do you know if there is a comparison pic somewhere?
