bottom of seat broken in half

anyone have this problem? the metal of the base of the seat is broken on both sides. Im assuming a simple weld job can fix it up.

any experiences?

Are the talking about the bottom of the backrest? Or the seat bottom? Because the backrests break all the time--my E30's driver's seat has been broken for a long time. A simple weld job and some paint to cover the weld will make it good as new.

im talking about the bottom, the butt part of the seat

It can be welded, but there may be more breaks in your future. Used seats are cheap - consider getting another one
