    Central Locking

Mine is broken in my IS. My buddy's dad has a Central Locking computer for a 4-door E30. Will this work in my 2-door?
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
    Mark: "You never will."

My question is this: are you sure it is the central lock controller? How are you sure, or are you just swapping parts to find out?

Just swapping to find out. I mean, he's parting out his E30, so what the hell might as well give it a shot.

I think its the central lock because when I lock the driver's door, the trunk locks and the gas tank locks but not the passenger side. So to fill up I have to unlock the trunk, thus unlocking the gas tank.

have you checked for loose connections in the passenger door? and maybe check the little arm on the driver's side door to make sure it is moving the mechanism to engage the central locking.

Oh man, I'd have to open up the door panel wouldn't I?

dude, a phillips screwdriver, a small flat screwdriver (to pop the screw cover off) and 10 minuites later, you are in!

I will bet you have a bad door lock actuator in the left door. Check that door connector first though.

Should take an average guy about an hour to swap, total.
