    how to remove tweeter pods?

    can anyone tell me how exactly to remove tweeter pods, with the intention of intalling them on an i car?

    You just pull them out. Wedge a thin screwdriver behind the top of it and pry it out... they're held in by super cheap-o clips.

      ok, so its the exact same as the blanks without the pods.... thanks..


      next question is about how they are wired. i plan on installing them and wiring them to work on an 'i' car.

      so is there a plug at the end of the wires i should unplug and keep all the wire, or should i just leave a pretty good amount of wire and snip and then remove?

        You have to custom wire them. If your car didn't come with tweeters initially, then you'll have to make a hole for the wiring and run it through the door.

          nope, my car's a 90 i without the premium speaker option, but apparently it IS wired - i guess so the dealer could easily add it if the customer choose to add it as a option.


          the only thing is the wires are not located directly behind the sails... they were ziptied down to the inside of the door closer the the front of the car.

          so they're there, you just have to look for them...
