    Seats for the Vert

    Hey guys,

I am not getting the kopis from RC anymore so I have $900 to blow and yes I want to blow it. I have been waiting 2 months to get this outta here and now I have the freedom to do so.

I am going to buy H&R springs, just the spring right now. I need a new desk chair so that will be on the list.

Here is the question, I NEED new seats or atleast new leather.

    I can:

Buy a very nice set of M3 natur seats: $500 shipped
Redo my existing seats, fronts only: approx: $700
Buy vaders, the tan so its close atleast and mount: ?

How much would vaders and what I need to mount them be? Anyone have a quick link to do a vader install, I know someone did it in a vert?

    Thanks
    DJ

Dude, do the vaders! I think if you shop around you might be able to have your stock seats redone for much cheaper than $700, but the Vaders will look very cool...

I voted for M3 seats though... lol, just because I think they will fit the car better.

Yea, the only thing is that they won't match because it is a darker tan I believe. I will have to do some fab but if I can find a thread about it, it might convince me.

Redo them in clothe, cooler in summer, warmer in the winter. Better wear and less sliding around while during fun driving.

If you're buying drop springs you need sport shocks. Don't spend your money in the wrong places.

Yea, I know that I need shocks. I am getting the springs because through turner it really doesn't make a difference, less money, if I buy them as a kit. I will be getting billys but that will happen when I get my tax return.

I am getting the H&R's now and billys in a month or 2. But the seats have just opened up as an option so thats why I am asking.

M3 seats are a straight bolt in correct? I have heard they were alittle wider but that shouldn't be a problem in the o'vert?

                It's a direct swap.

Black vaders and dye the outer edge of the panels.... two tone door panels rock.

Buy the natur M3 seats if they are really that nice. I recovered mine - $850 plus labor and two weeks to get them back.

My seats were Natur and I will be selling the leather from them soon. The passenger seat is excellent. It was a shame to recover it but I wanted everything to match.

How much work would it take to put these into my car? Is there anyone that makes brackets for a direct bolt in?

                      Thanks

You're going to spend around $600-800 on the vaders... if you can find them in the modena colour.

They won't fit in the cabrio either without some MAJOR modification to the rockerpanels (read: cutting and welding).

I vote redo and rejuvinate your seats in the car. E30 seats are comfortable and keep you in place (unless you're tracking it), so I don't see any reason to change your seats. I did that in my cabrio, and I've been very happy with them.

I would be putting the M3 seats in so they are e30 still. Vaders are pretty much out. So I really think that the M3 seats are the best choice for the money.

They are the exact same seats that are in the car right now.
