    M Tech style footrest...

I am going to make one of the same style footrests out of aluminum plate. If anyone is interested I can see how much they would be for a batch of them.

They might not be the same as the M tech but they would have the same general shape and size with a rubber pad glued onto the surface...

One thing I will change is where they are in relation to the clutch pedal. A dead pedal should be the same level as the clutch pedal to allow pivoting the foot from the rest to the clutch without lifting your foot.

I'd like one. It's a little irritating that these stupid aluminum pedals are $400, i don't care if it's m-tec as long as it looks ok and holds up my foot.

Rarity of them. There is another style that is factory that's just sheet aluminium like a schnitzer.

OK I've been told there is a lot cheaper way to do this by using a foot pedal from Jamex. The pedal looks about right, maybe some minor work on it to fit. I've contacted someone in Spain about sending over 5 or 10 of them if the price is right, shouldn't be more than $30-40 each with shipping. They sell for 15 Euro on the Jamex website...

OK I've contacted Jamex about getting 10 or so of the footrests, They are sending the price with shipping to me in the next few days. I'll post it when it comes in. Should be close to my estimate.

              good idea!!!

              ....keep us posted...

I had one custom made out of aluminum; we fashioned it after the RD footrest.......and used like an adhesive backed sand paper on the foot surface that many racers use on pedals... I love it for bracing during track days......Id like to see yours....Id consider one!!!!

Anyone make their own aluminum pedals yet? The skateboard griptape option like he shows seems like it'd work really well and be fairly cheap to redo when it wears.

Rubber glued to it has the flaw of still being somewhat slick when wet.
