Swapping to a 13 Button OBC

Is there anything special involved in swapping a 6 button OBC to a 13 button one or can you swap it straight out?

You're going to tell me no one on R3v has attempt to swap one of these fuckers out eh?

    Surely... someone chime in.

I think its just getting the wiring from a donor car and replacing OBC and wiring. I remember reading about it and it seemed pretty easy when you get the wiring harness for it. GL

You've got to screw in the 13 button one from the back of the hvac panel, so you need to remove a couple of screws etc. The new wiring harness also plugs into the back of the cluster and the door gong. You could also swap the turn signal stalks, but it's not necessary. If you want the code feature, there is a separate wiring harness/computer box (and a siren, i think?), but that's not required.

Make sure the light bar works, cause it's kind of a bitch to have to replace it once you've put it all back together. Also, make sure that you've got the right coding plug.

        HTH.

          Thought so..

Too much work I think I'll just tell my brother to stick with replacing his busted 6 button.
