    Window Switch Lights

Is it normal to have the window switches light up all the time? I'm pretty sure this just started to happen recently. What do you think needs fixed?

ahaha Apparently. I could have sworn they worked with the dimmer and were off if you had the rest of the interior lights off. I was just checking, as the car as a few electrical problems and if something was wrong with the window lights then it could have been connected to the other things.

        thanks

Yes, the window switches are supposed to be lighted constantly. Once, I tapped +12v from a window switch light wire because it is constant w/ the key in ignition position I.

OT Kinda, but I don't know if you guys have ever replaced these things but..

After having to replace these, (and not wanting to buy used ones) The dealer cost is stupid!
So I took one apart (really easy) and found that all I had to do is burnish the contact points, do a slight re-bend on the brass, and TA DAAAAA!
Good to go kinda. Well the reassembly is kinda a bugger but once together it worked fine.
I know these things fail all the time, but damn! I love saving money where I can, for better things like.................... Oh the list is sooo long. :ohsnap:
