Dog transport? how big of a dog? If it is a bigger dog i would just take out your back seats a little bit and put a blanket around them, or some thick fabric doesn't look bad in my mind. If it's a small dog i would just go to auto zone and get some cheap ones and take them out once your dog is gone out of it

Potentially ~55#; right now, ~27#. She doesn’t even really fit very well in the sport seat; something I noticed yesterday. It will be a daily trip, so I think actually the back seat idea might be a better fit.
Maybe something like this:
$70
and these to supplement
$30
I saw also that center divider thing, but I’m not a fan.
Don't spend that much money on basically a blanket. For my dog, I just use an old blanket that I used to use. Works perfectly and I just spread it over the rear of the seat just in case. Don't waste money on that when you can get the same protection for A LOT less.
i have a 135lb rotti, i just throw a uhaul blanket over the recaro and kinda tuck the edges inbetween the cushion and the bolsters and let it drape over the rest. eventually i am going to have my friend who reupholstered the seats make me a fitted cover out of heavy canvas. just make sure the blanket is dense enough that the dogs claws don't go through and poke a hole in your seat. BTW he rides in the front seat.:pimp:

Yeah, I think I’ll see if I can get one of those football game quilts that is cotton on one side and nylon on the other, and somehow tuck it into the back seat.
As a dog owner with leather rear seats in the Landcruiser, the best thing to keep from him clawing the seats is frequent nail trimming and finishing with a diamond file to round off the edges. It's a win - win, your seats are less likely to get poked, and your dog won't tear up his ears when he scratches them with a rear foot.
And don't overspend on the blanket like someone else said, but those sideboard thingies look like a good idea if your dog is a jumper. My mutt is as laid back as it gets on a ride, so he doesn't move from where I tell him to sit.
Spend money on either grooming clips & fileboards, or get him done like every 2 weeks. It'll save a lot of other stuff around the house too, and when your dog gets used to the routine it's less than a 10 minute job.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.
