    Refurbishing An MTech2 Steering Wheel

What do you guys recommend I do to clean up / refurbish the leather on an MTech2 steering wheel?

It has been well-used, but it is not worn through - it just needs to be refreshed.

What do I use to clean off the dirt that has been built up on the wheel by previous drivers?

Should it be re-dyed? Or just conditioned w/ leather conditioner? Something like that?

    Thanks!

i used magic eraser on my mtech 1 steering wheel, then used some interior cleaner/shiner to cover it up. When you use the magic eraser expect to get disgusted and never want to touch another steering wheel.

My magic eraser came out completely black, not like gray, i mean black black.

I only used it on the steering wheel and shift knob, i used other one in the 2 pack for little spots, but be careful over anything that has white for the logo's or anything. Like on your light switch it has the white logo on it, mine is not there anymore, best bet is to swipe around anything like that. But i used it on the HVAC, OBC, and stuff around there and it didn't wipe away any of the white, just made it white instead of yellow, you never really realize how yellow they are till you clean them off

For one it's upside down. Are you against putting a good leather stitched wrap over it?

It's just upside down because the wheel is turned......

Yes, I'm against stitching a wrap over it. I just want to know what leather cleaner is good to use on a BMW steering wheel that won't make it slick and slippery.

            rewrap

rewrap in alcantara or ultrasuede. Alcantara is the new leather.

Used black shoe dye (not polish, dye) on my Blackline wheel.
