    Carbon cluster trim

Does anyone have any pictures of this trim installed?

I can pick it up on fleabay for $58us posted and im becoming more and more interested...

This is it without the rings its only $44us posted.

but i think it needs the rings to make it pop.

Just expressing interest.. Id like to see them installed before i make a bid.

    thanks guys

I am not too sure I would want my gauges to "pop".

I sit here thinking I do nothing for just looks...and then I remember I am trying for a BBK just for looks.

      Do it.

You will be surprized, i think i know how ricers get down in the dirt and stay there. It's like bass in a car once you have some you can't stop you want more and more and more and more. Well when you start to do appearance upgrades it's hard to get focused back on to actual useful upgrades. Like i have probably spent 120$ in little things to make this car look somewhat close to stock, Still working on it. But I could have spent that 120$ on a chip which i have yet to get...

Yea so you can't blame a ricer for wanting to look cool then fade off and forgetting about performance mods. But you can't pick on the ricers that think their shit is faster then yours and you half throttle it as they are redlining shifts.

I say go for it, take pictures, let me see if i want it or not, been interested in it. But sorta scared to get carbon fibre because people will call me a ricer....

I thought about it for a while (couple years), and never plunked down. Since, I have seen a couple installed, and was all but impressed. But thats me, and I am uber picky. If you want it, then get it.

too much of a distraction for me IMO... takes focus away from the "important" things.

I've spent quite a bit of money on my interior, for both appearance and comfort. I think its perfectly acceptable to modify your interior to your own liking, after all, you are the one looking at it, not people you drive past on the street. It too far to be labeled a "ricer" over such a subtle piece of trim.

Thats why i think that it needs the rings... not so much "to make it pop",
but without them the gauges get kind of lost in the fiber...

It would look better with the brushed aluminum rings. The chrome rings would be to much bling with the CF.

I've been thinking about getting one of those CF cluster frames for a long time, but I think the rings might be too much, I'll have to wait to see pics.

                          i know what you mean...
but dont you agree the gauges get "lost" in the weave?
i was thinking if i got the rings as well, i'd sand down to bare metal, then have them annodized in a darker more gun metel silver.

or if they turned out to be plastic, simply prime and spray them a darker, less chrome, silver

i think this would still highlight the gauges without them looking too bling, or blinding in the sun.

Thats a cool piece and a great idea .

But all of the ones I've seen mounted looked too puffy and they bulge out around the openings .

Teaguer, you owe me a monitor.

                              I smacked that bug.

                              It is your fault.
