Taking out Center vent

Hey peeps

This is a stupid question.
But how do you get the center damn vent out? I tried prying it out with a flat head but I dont want to mess up my dash. Is there a technique or something to pull it out?lol

Im trying to put my gauge there so I can finally put a damn radio in the car, lol.

center vent

dont use a screw driver, the easiest thing ot use I find is a chizel. Or something of that nature, take that and shove it on the bottom, in the center of one of the vent, and take a plyer and pull the vent out. It will come out instantly, if only oneside coems out then you do the same for the other side.

Let me explain taht more clearly... you are looking at the center vent... there are two of them.
There is a tab in the middle of each vent top and bottom. so 4 tabs total, but you want to push out the bottom tab and pull forward, and it will come free. But most of the time you just need to do it for oneside the otherside pops free.
