I don't understand what makes it ugly. I can see some not liking the wood but my 540i has wood trim all over the interior. The center is also interchangable to leather brushed aluminum etc.

Its kinda Bulky, and that is why its ugly, id take an M-tech 1 over it. sorry. As long as you thinks its cool and like it its all good, thats what counts.

I'll tell you why in an artistic sense.

It looks like a brick. The lines are too simple and you have no distinction of direction with the steering wheel because all the sides are same with size and design. It has no dynamics and the steering wheel looks like a flat circle.

no depth to steering wheel = lines are too simple, but at hte same time too full. If you want ot go simple you ahve to thin out, if you want to fill up you have to have depth. It needs the contrast to bring out the steering wheel.. This one is simple and thick... looks like a brick..
