    Angled seats??!!

I swapped in some ix seats into my i last night and noticed that they were not straight. like if you step out and look in they were angled towards the center console. They bolted down fine but are still facing in. Even from the front looking head on they look like they are tilted in. Is it my noobness or were the seats fubared?

They're broken. Common problem. Take the back off and have it rewelded.

      ...

its the special edition seats that only comes in special edition ix... hahaha

yea probably broken in the back, if you ever taken them apart, you'll see that the metal are super thin welded. So if you get like a super big guy and just slouch down on it repetitively, it'll break.

Dammit, the passenger seat was a bitch to get in. AHH, so they're both broken then. Oh well I guess I either need new seats or someone who welds in socal.

Anyone done the rewelding before or is it better to just replace them?

            rewelding

its super duper simple. The tough part is getting it apart. its just tack weld on the four joints.

            - turn the seat around
            - flip it upside down
            - undo the two screws on the bottom holding the backing
            - pull out the lift handle on the side (just pull straight)
            - if passenger side, you have to stick a screw driver inside the left side of the chair and on the bottom undo the phillips head, and take out the secondary handle by sliding down the unhook and pull out.
            - push straight up on the backing
            - then push out to the side with the lift handle
            - once you pull that off, you'll see where to weld... pull the fabric apart so it doesnt catch on fire, and just tack weld it... and your done.
