    if the latch broke

so if the latch broke and its stuck open here is what you can do...

crawl under your passenger side... there are a total of 6 nuts holding it, six on one side of the bracket 6 on the other, you want to take the braket off the side closer to teh engine bay, do not undo the whole thing just loose it and side it off. You glove box will drop partially, then try to wiggle it out. I did this not long ago, but may have forgetten certain details, but it should be pretty easy to take out.

Mine was stuck but i got it off by ripping the handle off with my hand. Then i was able to open it that away. But i had a extra handle to replace the one that i broke.

dude, thats my point... you undo the back of the glove box, the whole thing drops and the front will come out at a slight angle... then you can figure out why its stuck close, most likely your handle spring broke.

I just had that problem last week, there are 2 small pins and they wear out i just ripped the handle off, and there is a J shaped metal part push to the right to open, then grab a new handle

                      try to turn

try and turn the glovebox side ways.. angle it, it should come out. if not turn and yank it. the handle is done thats for sure, but you dont want to break the hinge thats connected to your dash.

I bought a new handle for mine and ended up having to break it, I guess something got misaligned when I replaced my dash. Handless at the moment.

If you can get a non locking latch (i had two locking ones that jamed on me and then i got a non locking one and haven't had any proplems). I got mine off of ebay for $14. here is the part numbers for either one with or without the lock http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...50&hg=51&fg=30 I usally get my stuff off of Bavauto, but other people get their stuff from other venders. So they might ring in where they get their parts from.
