Anyone have or tried this knob?

Any pics of it installed?? That'd be awsome,
i'm pretty tempted cuz I love the one piece leather boot look,
but seeing it installed would be tits!

I got the same knob but mine has the ///M insert. I don't have any close up pictures of it in my car. But i can tell you one thing, it will light up red and will not match the rest of your lights in your dash.

If you want to see how it looks, do a general search for shift boot on S14.net. The M3's had one piece shift knob/boots.

All of mine are orange, unless they changed them in later models. I did find a picture, it's crappy but you can tell a difference.

yep one piece was stock shift boot on the ///M. Illiminated came on later models IIRC. Just found a used one and retrofitted into my car.

yeah, would like to see a pic of it installed!

i can always leave the lighting in it unplugged if it doesn't match.
Or if it uses a colored bulb, then just swap the bulb out with a better matching one.

Unless you actually want to spend the money on that, which I wish I had the money to do so, get the ebay knob. I did that with nice boot set from BMWFX.com and they look very nice. Mine doesn't illuminate though.

And you CANNOT see the BMWFX on the boot when installed.

heh, yea i was willing to pay that price for that knob.
I like how the boot is one large piece of leather that covers the entire knob
I dont think 160 is that much for a knob like that...

if it looks as good installed as it does in that pic that is..

I have the stainless steel UUC RK2 shift knob and a RobS leather shift boot.

Cheaper than the Turner shift knob/boot thing and way better in my opinion.

Thanks for the pic but I think the original poster and I are looking for a pic of the one piece shiftknob/boot from the factory.
