Sport seats again - knobs and carter

    Here I come again.
I looked and I searched. Everyone says that the knob that controls the bottom front extension just 'comes off by pulling hard'.
I ... pulled. To the point where the plastic looked like it wanted to break. And it's not coming off. Are we SURE that's the right way?
Next: when you remove that, there's the carter behind it that needs to go. It seems like you have to remove a plastic .. peg near where the knob axle goes through, then you slide the carter back to disengage a second peg farther back. Do I just shove the front peg down from the top? It's... spiky.
Another question: do I have the only car in which the hog rings were placed.. uh.. erratically? On one side, the rings for the bolsters and those for the center cushions are separate. On the other, they're the same - and a pain to get to.

      OK, will yank, thanks.
The damn claw things weren't too bad, with pliers. The hog rings just needed a SMALL wire cutter... and they'll be repositioned when I'm done.
While I'm here, I'd like to offer a word of thanks (...) to whomever engineered the bottom part of the seat. I am sure Dante forgot the circle of hell to which the gentleman is or was destined to avoid scaring readers.
