I ordered a two-door set for my cabrio. I trimmed it to fit, but wasn't pleased with the results.

The carpet seems to be of decent quality, but the nice thing about the factory carpet is that it is adheared to mass loaded vinyl, which has some pretty good sound absorbsion qualities.

The fit in the footwell/tranny tunnel was good though.

I'm confused...you were not impressed with your trimming to fit the carpet or the fit of the carpet itself?

I got some samples for a Rabbit GTi I was restoring but sold the car before I did the carpets. Was pretty impressed with the response and the samples, though.

I was going to buy a carpet from the stealership but they wanted 600 bucks. It took me a month or so to locate one in good shape but they pop up for decent prices.

I havent even ordered mine yet. My E30 nwill be getting paint and a new headliner and front glass before the carpet goes in. I am, however, still very curious as to how it fits/feels/looks/etc...

Hey, sorry I forgot to tell you guys.
The carpet is really nice actually. I got the cheapest, Plush, and it came rolled up in a box. Directions included say to let it lay out for a little while to work out all the creases and such from shipping. The only problem i have with it is there is no dead petal plastic, so ill have to get an aftermarket one. I was also concerned about whether or not it would have the separate back piece like the stock 2 piece carpet. It does but it is attached to make this a one piece.

All in all I would give it a 10 for what I wanted it for!
However, I would give it a 7 depending on the majority.
                          Heres why:
No pre-cut holes, or side gaps for upper sill clips. Great for me cause i have custom seatbelt brackets, roll-bar, E36 seats, etc. and I don't mind cutting this out myself.

Very light (11 pounds) due to no/very little insulation. I want my car light and loud you may want to keep sound down for comfort reasons, so the lack of deadening material will affect that.

No dead petal plastic, and foot plastic isn't the same pattern as stock. Instead it is lots of thin "gutters" running horizontally like cheap-o floor mats

I am still very satisfied with it, the grey color is dead on to stock as far as i can tell. and the bottom is water proof which. which is great if your heater core blows.

Ill post pictures soon. I'm being lazy and laying in bed tonight.
