removing blower switch from HVAC panel

Has anyone done this? I have gotten everything apart from the hvac panel except the blower switch. I am trying to access the plastic "glow" panel from behind it to transfer to an uncracked panel. I just cant seem to get it loose? Thanks

yea, pull the selector knob off just by grabbin and pullin, then theres a funky lookin silver retaining nut, but its slotted like a screw with a hole in the middle where your selector shaft goes. Just unscrew that and your set, whatever you can use to unscrew it weather it may be a pair of needlenose plier or a screwdriver. I kinda mushed mine up so i wouldnt recomend the screwdriver.

Oh Dang! My first post here!

Nice welcome, I bet a spanner wrench would work well. Is it reverse threaded?

just use a screw driver. It works well. Just pop the back of the screw driver with your palm(normal threads)
