    Seatbelt "PRESS" Button is Stuck...help!

The other day my seatbelt stopped clicking, and when the "PRESS" button is pushed down it stays down, I put the seatbelt in, and have to jimmy it around before the button springs back up.

Also, if the button is sprung up, I cannot push the seatbelt in.

Is it possible to replace just the seatbelt? I want to change to black seats eventually but I can't afford it right now

I just really don't want my seatbelt to fail at the wrong time. And sometimes it takes forever to jimmy the bastard.

Also I just changed my door cards to black, but one of them has these white marks which seem impossible to get rid of, I thought it was paint at first, but the car I got it from was delphin. It seems to be a problem in my friends passenger seat in his 318i as well. Any ideas?

The receiver can be changed, it just bolts to the bottom of the seat.

I have had this problem on 2 of my seats. Keep pushing it and when you get it up push it back down as fast as you can.

On both of my belts a very small spring comes flying out and hits you in your face. Its fixed me twice, I have pulled on them with all my strength and they won't pull out so that spring isn't there for anything special. I hope at least

Just change them out to be safe. You might want to look and see how much brand new ones are or even if you can get brand new recievers. When I redo my seat I will be changing them out with new ones if possible, just to make sure they work.

occasionally in humid summer weather mine stick a bit. You can remove them from the seat (may have to take the seat out first) and clean them. I used some compressed air to blow out dust and they were fine; you may have to use a tiny, tiny touch of a spray lube like white lithium etc.
