Keep the tint and shadowline the chrome around the windows. If its legal in your state, tint the fronts to match.

If you take it off, the back window defroster might be ruined.

Shouldn't be a problem. I had a shop strip all the tint out of my eta and re-tint it to 35%. No damage to the defroster.

same for me on the defroster. i used ammonia and a heat gun to soften the glue so it came off really easy. The defroster lines were left behind.
                    Im now E30less.

I prefer the no tint look, gives it a "factory fresh" look to it if you will, just seems cleaner to me. I removed the tint on my M3 and am more than pleased with how it looks now.

the true question is: Is it form over function, or vice-versa?

I'm going to tint for the very same reason Sean stated: Boise summer sun = burlness.

I assume it would be pretty hot in Texas, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

My list of options says I have factory tint.

                              Probably like 90%.
