    Toyota made my sun visors...

Ok - not really. But one thing that drives me crazy about e30s is the cheap feel to the sun visors. They are flimsy, plastic covered crap..

Anyone adapt something from another car/model?

I have a thought of recovering them when I do the headliner - and adding a lighted mirror, and even a lead weight(sheet lead) to make them feel a bit more substantial.

And yes, someone will pipe up asking "why lead? - you are nuts." Nope. I'm not - take apart your computer mouse sometime, you'll most likely find a (steal) weight in there. Same with your home phone(some times.) Manufactures add weight to products all the time to make them feel "expensive"...

"Is it heavy?" "yes" "then its expensive. put it down"

When I have time, I am making new ones out of covered ABS plastic.

You could always head to a junkyard and find some off another car you like. I plan to do this with my MG as the stock ones are just a thin wire frame with padding and vinyl.

Do they block the sun from getting in your eyes while your driving?

If yes, then whats the problem?

If no, then your probably to short to be driving a BMW and should look into a car like a miata.

if you don't like sunvisors, move to Oregon.

              We don't need them here.
